New Orleans, LA
ROLL CALL OF CHAMPIONS
John Capone
American Heavyweight Champion
Danteourage (Dante Monaco & Dorian Morcello)
American Tag Team Champions
Sarahcuda
American Female Champion
Fireworks went off and the capacity crowd was ecstatic as "Hand Of Blood" by Bullet For My Valentine played and the show began.
[Voiceover] "Tonight...the road to August And Everything After goes through Louisiana! We now go backstage where all hell has broken loose..."
Inside the office of Commissioner Andrew Bootman, the Commish is in a heated discussion with American Female Champion Sarahcuda (chained by the hands and by the legs, with two police escorts).
[BOOTMAN] "Why should I not suspend you? You attacked a defenseless reporter!"
[SARAHCUDA] "DO NOT...THREATEN...ME! I AM..."
[BOOTMAN] (interrupting) "Stop it right there, Sarah. You are a tough son of a bitch, I'll give you that. But don't forget who runs this show. Me. Tonight, you will defend the title against Natasha Malone or you will be stripped of the title and suspended for 30 days."
Sarahcuda freaked out and tried to escape her chains. The police escorts held her back and escorted her and her screaming vocal chords out of the office.
In another part of the arena, the Jersey Assassins (#1 & #2) were screaming and dumping over equipment while looking for either The Iron Maiden or someone from the Danterourage.
Back in the center of the arena, American Heavyweight John Capone (with mic in hand) and new friend Steve Bootman had just entered the ring and the crowd was booing them profusely.
[CAPONE] "Lick me. All of you." (crowd boos) "I suppose you're all sad that precious Mike Harvey didn't get his title shot last week and will have to wait until August And Everything After like he is supposed to." (crowd boos) "Well, boo hoo. Last week wasn't about Mike Harvey. It was about teaching Mike Harvey a lesson: JOHN CAPONE RUNS THIS SHIT!" (crowd boos, Capone stands on middle rope and looks menacingly toward camera/crowd) "And with my new buddy Steve Bootman here, nothing is gonna stop me from keeping the American Heavyweight Championship forever!" (crowd boos) "Forever!" (crowd boos louder) "FOREVER!" (crowd boos even louder) "Yeah, like booing me is going to make me give a shit. When I look at the faces in this crowd tonight, I am reminded at what a poor job Hurricane Katrina did removing the trash from New Orleans." (crowd booes louder than ever and hurls garbage into the ring while Capone smiles) "Yeah, I thought that might do it."
Capone handed the mic to Steve. The crowd booed him.
[STEVE BOOTMAN] "My son wondered what my reasons were for aligning with John Capone last week and it's very simple: John Capone is a winner. My son is, was and always will be a loser!" (crowd boos)
Andrew Bootman came out with his own mic at this point. The crowd stood up and cheered. Andrew climbed into the ring and responded.
[ANDREW BOOTMAN] "Thanks, Dad." (crowd scoffs) "Unfortunately, I don't believe a word you're saying."
Capone took the mic from Steve and got in the face of Andrew.
[CAPONE] "You better believe it, little Andy." (to Steve) "Why don't you take care of this little pipsqueak right now and beat his ass like you should have years ago!"
Steve refused at the same time the crowd popped for Mike Harvey coming out of the back and sliding into the ring. Harvey thought about taking the mic from Andrew and speaking but instead shoved Capone down and kicked Steve in the gut before delivering a cutter. The crowd roared. Andrew backed out of the ring and watched Harvey lock the Southern Justice on Capone, who started tapping out immediately in front of the cheering crowd. Unfortunately, Steve regained composure and had obtained a steel chair which he used to attack Harvey and force him to break the hold. The crowd booed. Andrew called for help from the back, which came in the form of ACE referees and officials who cleared Capone and Steve from the ring. At one point, Andrew and Steve had an uncomfortable staredown. A match was set up for later in the show between Steve and Harvey.
Commercial Break
Backstage, Hair Metal (Christian Melrose & Irwin Steele) were caught speaking to Natasha Malone.
[MELROSE] "Good luck tonight, Tash."
Steele started to offer good luck to her as well but Melrose stood in front of him and faced Malone.
[MALONE] "Thanks. It's gonna be tough but I think I can get it done tonight."
[MELROSE] (staring blankly at her) "You will, you will."
[MALONE] "All right, well I'm gonna head to the ring now..."
Malone waved at both of them and headed off. Steele got in the face of Melrose.
[STEELE] "Dude..."
[MELROSE] (still staring at Malone) "...yes?"
In another area of backstage, Valerie was walking gingerly. She passed a couple officials who inquired about her condition and she mumbled something about looking for revenge on Sarahcuda.
American Female Championship Match
(C) Sarahcuda vs. Natasha Malone
Time Limit: 15:00 • Referee: Jason Charles
Malone waited at ringside for Sarahcuda and as soon as the police escorts unchained the champion, Malone came at her firing with fists of fury. The crowd cheered. Referee Charles was able to bring the match into the ring and the bell sounded to officially begin the match. Malone wore Sarahcuda out but could not knock her down. At 2:09, Malone went for a standing dropkick but Sarah brushed her aside and Malone landed awkwardly on the mat, giving the champion a chance to capitalize. Sarah overpowered Malone and beat her around like a rag doll for a few minutes while the crowd urged the challenger to make a comeback. After a power slam on Malone, Sarah tossed her into the corner and hit a running splash that nearly flattened Malone. The crowd "ooohed" and Sarah returned to the opposite side of the ring to set up the Trust Buster but Malone was miraculously able to move left and fall face-first onto the mat, forcing Sarah to miss and hit the ring post shoulder first. The crowd cheered. Malone got to her feet just as Mother Mary made an appearance at ringside (the crowd booing her all the way). Malone was distracted by Mary enough to allow Sarahcuda to get back to her feet and regain composure. Mary hopped onto the ring apron and was arguing with Malone while referee Charles got in between. Sarahcuda grabbed Malone by the hair and turned her around for another power slam but Malone escaped and shoved Sarahcuda into Mary, knocking her off the ring apron and getting a nice pop from the crowd. Karra LaRue came out and brawled with Mary to keep her out of the match. Malone followed by springboarding off the top rope and hitting the Natty By Nature on Sarahcuda. Huge pop. Unfortunately, the referee was focused on Mary and Karra fighting outside of the ring. Malone covered but there was no ref to count. The crowd booed. Malone got up and pulled the referee around to count but when Malone went to cover, she was met with a boot to the face from the champion. At this point, Valerie (with a menacing face) came from out of the back to obviously seek revenge on Sarahcuda. Lindsey Fontaine chased behind and tried to stop her but Valerie came toward the ring anyway. Inside the ring, Sarah got to her feet and head butted Malone before attempting the Trust Buster again. Just as she started to charge across the ring, Valerie slid under the bottom rope and tripped up Sarah. Referee Charles called for the immediate disqualification. The crowd booed.
RESULT: Sarahcuda def. Natasha Malone (9:02, DQ)
It did not take long for it to be come a six-woman brawl, with three teams (Valerie & Fontaine, Mary & Sarahcuda and LaRue & Malone) coming together in the midst of it all. ACE officials broke up the melee and it was later announced that a three-team elimination match would take place at the August And Everything After PPV.
Backstage, Bucky Talbot and Sandy Horseshoe are found in an argument near an RC machine.
[HORSESHOE] "Buh-kee, y'all need to win me a match or else..."
Trick walked past the arguing two, causing Horseshoe to whistle and lose her train of thought.
[TALBOT] "Izzat whatchu like, girly? That young buck?"
[HORSESHOE] "I wouldn't kick him outta bed, that's fur sure!"
Talbot walked up to Trick and challenged him to a match, which was accepted.
Commercial Break
Bucky Talbot w/Sandy Horseshoe vs. Trick
Time Limit: 10:00 • Referee: Jason Charles
Talbot tried his best but the young Trick managed to get the better of him at the end of every turn. Trick winked at Horseshoe, prompting her to visibly melt. Talbot went for a hard clothesline but Truck ducked, superkicked Talbot and hit a standing moonsault to win.
RESULT: Trick def. Bucky Talbot (3:20)
The crowd seemed indifferent to the result but a few whistles were heard when Trick walked past Horseshoe and back to the locker room. Horeshoe started to go into the ring and see after Talbot but shook her head in disgust and ran back to the locker room, possibly toward Trick.
Separate taped promos aired from Mr. Canada in Saskatchewan (with thousands of Canadians surrounding him) and Dios in Peru with thousands of his homeland people chanting his name. Both dealt with how they were not just fighting for themselves but their country as well.
Christian Melrose w/Irwin Steele vs. Green Lantern Fan w/Scarth
Time Limit: 10:00 • Referee: Jason Charles
Before this match reached the 30-second mark, the Jersey Assassins came out and attacked all four men. After Melrose and Steele were disposed off, they choked out GLF and Scarth until they told them where The Iron Maiden was. Both pointed to the jumbotron where American Tag Team Champions Dante Monaco & Dorian Morcello were laughing while holding up The Iron Maiden's outfit. The crowd was intrigued.
[MONACO] "Come find us, boys! We're in the building..."
The screen went blank and both Assassins darted to the back with a camera following them. Both grunted, groaned and tore stuff up on the way to opening each door to see where the tag champs were. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Monaco and Morcello attacked the Assassins with chairs. They hurt the Assassins but did not knock them down, much to the chagrin of the champs. This led to one of the most hellacious backstage brawls ever that was stopped short when GLF and Scarth made it backstage to make it a 4-on-2 Danteourage advantage. After hurling the Assassins through a plate glass window, the Danteourage fled the scene.
RESULT: Christian Melrose drew Green Lantern Fan (0:22, NC)
Commercial Break
Backstage, the Jersey Assassins are assisted to their feet by ACE Medical crews. Both men are bleeding through their masks and are gingerly walking around aimlessly to look for Danteourage members.
Mike Harvey vs. Steve Bootman w/John Capone
Time Limit: 10:00 • Referee: Jason Charles
Harvey shoved Bootman and Bootman shoved back to open the contest. Harvey fired at Bootman with laser-quick fists to the gut but Bootman retaliated with a hard elbow to the face that sent Harvey to the mat. Over the next couple minutes, Bootman easily manhandled Harvey but seemed to get worn out at the 4:09 point. Harvey took advantage by taking out the legs of Bootman and knocking him to his knees. The crowd roared. Harvey hit a shining wizard and looked as if he was going to lock in the Southern Justice when Capone jumped into the ring and nailed Harvey from behind with a series of elbows and fists. Referee Charles called for a disqualification and the crowd booed.
RESULT: Mike Harvey def. Steve Bootman (4:31, DQ)
Capone and Bootman double-teamed Harvey for several moments until Commissioner Andrew Bootman came out with officials and security who broke it up. Capone grabbed a mic.
[CAPONE] "Andrew, you can try to protect your precious Mike Harvey all you want but he is my bitch!"
Capone threw down the mic and stormed out through the crowd with Steve towing behind. The crowd booed.
